July, 2008

Hi Everyone, The Autumn Season came to end with the Presentation Night and Cocktail Party on the 28^th of June. For all it was a very successful and enjoyable night. Photos have been posted on the website, along with the names of all those who won awards on the night. Congratulations to the 5 teams that made it through to finals this season. Semi-Finals were played last week by the following teams:

Melbourne University White

Melbourne University Black

Melbourne University 2

Melbourne University 3

Melbourne University 9

Both the Melbourne Uni Black and Melbourne Uni 2 teams made it to the Grand Finals next week. The committee wishes both teams the best of luck for their games next week, and hopefully you enjoy a win. If you would like to go along to support the girls, details of finals are as follows:

Deekin-Mena 3 vs Melbourne Uni Black

Roxy Chicks vs Melbourne Uni 2

- 8:30pm Monday the 28^th of July

The committee is excited to announce another MUNC & MURF event to occur in the coming months:

THE MUNC & MURC BALL!

The ball will be held on the 9^th of September at Rydges in the city, so make sure you keep that date free. We are hoping that it will be equally as successful as the Cocktail Night, and that all players get along to not only party with the Rugby boys but to support the club. Further details regarding this event will be forwarded as soon as possible.

The Spring Season will start the week of the 18^th of August – further details in the Secretary Update below.

Secretary Update

 With the Spring season about to start, the MUNC committee have been hard at work organising teams, coaches and training.All B and 
C grade players should have received team lists for next season; 
Prem and A teams will be organised during the first few weeks of training. 
Training will begin for all teams prior to the beginning of the season and you will receive information about training and your 
coach in approximately two weeks.  
Currently there is space for 4 more C grade girls. If anyone knows of someone who would like to participate in C grade,

Information regarding Mixed netball will be forwarded in the coming weeks. Its looking like we will have about 3 teams in the competition.
